Grits & Graphs
Grits & Graphs is the stats side of a two-site pair with The Conference Gazette, the Gazettes network's SEC football paper. It rates all 16 SEC teams against every FBS team, runs the rest of the season 10,000 times each week, and publishes the odds: final records, a spot in the SEC Championship Game, the title. Every forecast is graded after the games, and the grades are posted.

Who it is for
Built for
SEC football fans who want the numbers behind the week, and readers who would rather see a chart than a recap.
What is in it
What we are building
- Overview, Teams, Forecast, Trends, Players, This week and Compare views, updated each Sunday after the week's games.
- Site Elo model with home field built in, measured against every FBS team. Game data from CollegeFootballData.com.
- Season forecast from 10,000 simulations: chance of each final SEC record, top two odds and title odds, with week to week movement shown.
- Every forecast is graded on accuracy and Brier score. The 2025 validation run is posted, and SP+, FPI and CFBD Elo comparisons are added once the first season is scored.
- Still on sample data in beta: passing zones, playoff odds and series history. The Conference Gazette news side opens next.
